Design #57 Farr 6000
All interior joinery and furniture mouldings have been designed as structural members bonded to the hull and this combined with careful shape design allows very economical construction producing an extremely strong structure with minimum weight.
The rig is an up to date light weight and efficient one with ease of handling a prime design factor. The headsail is short footed and high aspect ratio - very efficient and not requiring winches for sheeting. The mainsail is a moderate aspect ratio for good all round power and we have purposely avoided questionable gimmicks such as long battens which unnecessarily complicate a boat of this type. A small spinnaker can be added for the sailing enthusiasts.
