Design #414 CM60

enables the CM 60 to be very fast relative to its size. Fractional spinnakers are standard, with the option for masthead spinnakers for scintillating offwind speed. The jib sheets to a longitudinal track and uses a hydraulic inhaul adjuster system, giving a good range of trim control. Forestay load and mast bend is controlled through the masthead backstay with an external hydraulic system.

Appendage design reflects the latest thinking at Farr Yacht Design, Ltd. A deep, low VCG keel provides stability to carry the large sail area and produce exceptional upwind speed. Hull and deck construction uses carbon laminates on foam cores, with aluminum structure to accept keel bolting and mast loads.

IMS race boats at this size have sufficient volume below to permit a variety of good layouts. Boat #1 has a large saloon area, good for entertaining as well as for sail handling, with a workable galley and private cabin on the starboard side aft. Space is available forward of the mast for a spacious owner's stateroom with head at some future date.

Built by Carroll Marine of Bristol, Rhode Island, and sold by Farr International, Inc., the CM 60 has already generated great interest in different areas of the world.
