Designer’s Notes
Design #373 Farr 50 Pilot House The Farr 50 Pilot House is large enough for a couple to live on board in shoreside style and comfort, with ample guest accommodation. When you go blue water cruising, you shouldnยดt have to drop your living standards - quality of life is very important and we believe yacht design should emulate shoreside lifestyle, whilst being practical, safe and comfortable for offshore use. The standard mast is an anodised, keel stepped, three spreader rig from Selden Masts with single in-line lower shrouds and baby stay. A removable inner forestay (cutter stay) is fitted with a manual tensioner. The boom also comes from Selden. So many designs compromise their suitability for offshore cruising by using all the available space for accommodation. Not so your Farr 50. She has large storage lockers in the bow and stern providing large amounts of space accessible
