Designer’s Notes
Design #373M Farr 525 Deck Saloon The Farr 525 Deck Saloon is one of a brand new range of high performance Deck Saloon yachts from BSI Marine. The stunning looks and sleek lines of the Farr 525, coupled with a deck layout to cater for most requirements, a hull by Farr Yacht Design, styling by Mark Tuckers "Design Unlimited" and the renowned build quality of BSI Marine will make this new boat really stand out from the crowd. The performance will be a priority with a carbon fibre rig and Park Avenue boom for the fully battened main being standard. There will be no overlapping headsails, runners, checks or a babystay and the deck will be kept as clear as possible of all ropes with the jib sheets being run under the deck to the winches aft. She will have twin cockpits with the forward one being protected by a Sprayhood, which will fold into a recess in the coachroof. A Bimini will be available. A Divinycell foam core will be used for the 525 with E Glass and vinylester resin in the hull and deck. Stiffening will be provided from an internal bottomgrid structure made from a female mould.
